Talking Google maps is testing new floating category bar

Google is always been improving its Google Maps in different ways and this time, there is a new change where a floating scrolling bar of category searches can be seen on top of the screen

Currently , Google is testing a new user interface within Google Maps which allows the user to search among category within a floating bar. The floating bar shows all the categories such as, pharmacies, hospitals, petrol pumps, restaurants, cafes, pharmacies, supermarket and more.

The Process here is nothing new, as you can try out these category searches through the “explore” section of the current Maps interface.

Further, Tapping on one of these will show you all the nearby stores, petrol pumps or any category you choose.

The idea of a floating scrolling bar for category searches sounds like a convenient addition. It's great that they're constantly finding ways to enhance user experience.
The other upcoming features like Group Planning, You Tab, Google Lens integration, and sharing ETA with friends sound intriguing, too. It'll be interesting to see how they all work together to make navigation and planning even smoother.
Personally, I love to explore new places, and I recently had a fantastic time at an Irish bar near me. Sometimes, it's nice to unwind and enjoy the simple pleasures in life.
