    How do you use Gmail?

For those who have Gmail, do you use it?

If so do you still find yourself deleting stuff.

I know the idea is to hang onto everything, but so many of the messages I get I know I will never refer to again (google alerts, newsletters etc), that I just delete them.

I like to have things filed away and actually use my inbox as a sort of todo - if a message is in my inbox it still needs actioning until I delete it or file it away.

So, what do you think, is Gmail fateally flawed because people dont want to keep all their emails (or am I just odd )

I archive a lot of mine, but I love GMail - the threaded conversations especially.

I'm using it more and more - signed up to a number of mailing lists with it (including daily alerts from Alternet.org), and it's a nice, spam-free environment to use for emailing friends back home.

    I freaking love threaded conversations.

I use my Gmail as much as possible.

I also love the [unofficial] Mozilla Extension for Gmail.

I mean one of the few that still don't have it.

I don't really want it as I won't use it. Thanks for the offer though.

Yeah, I haven't got one and don't see that I need one really

I only like using one email account for personal stuff, and can't be bothered changing now ;p
Don't you just love free internet games ?

I like the threaded conversations as well.

For me it wokrs better than Hotmail as a second email address (I use it for link exchanges and newsletter subscriptions primarily), and to protect my main email from spam.

But still getting to grips with it.

fatally flawed? you can use it any way you like. I don't see it as a flaw, and it's certainly not fatal
