Google allows up to three ads on a page.

Don't know if its been posted here yet, but...

    Multiple ad units
To provide even more value to your users, and to help you further monetise your web pages, we are allowing publishers to place up to three ad units on every web page. Our system will automatically recognise the additional ad units, and will serve unique ads to each. Your ad units can each have different colour palettes, formats, and alternate ad URLs, providing you with the flexibility you need to incorporate Google ads into your site design. Please read the Multiple Ad Units section of our FAQ for the full details.
    https://www.google.com/adsense/new

Good news I think. Will be useful for those who have ads mixed in with their main content.

Sweet news. I probably won't take much advantage of it, but I do have at least one site it would benefit me on. I wonder how many emails Google will still get about "multiple ads" until everyone realizes they now allow it.

They've been allowing it for about a week (at least, that's how long I've been doing it)... I haven't noticed an increase in earnings, maybe because it's CPC and people just decide to click every so often.

Edit: yeah I heard about this Aug 26, didn't see their page on it but the page says Aug 25

Pretty cool though, I think they definitely listen to publishers and it's nice to know they're actively improving the program.

So does this mean that we can now mix ads from other programs on the same page with adsense, or only that we can run multiple adsense blocks per page?

This means you should re-read what Google has said. It's pretty clear...

this is great, but when are they going to start doing electronic bank transfers?! It would make life much easier and quicker.

I agree Jaffro. Send them an email, see what they say. AdSense has good email support.

I think if they start to do bank transfers, there's a good chance they'll do paypal. Both are as popular imho.

You can email them to tell them not to send a cheque cant you? Who do I need to email? I cant find it in the FAQ or t&c. Thanks.

I'd rather accumulate a bit more before having to pay in a cheque, since it seems to be $10 to $20 to pay in a US 'check'!

They do say this in the FAQ though:

We hope to add additional payment options in the coming months.

I'm not sure the exact cut-off date, but if you email them a bit in advance, they will carry over your balance to the next month.

Ah-ha, found it with a tad bit of searching. Posted at WMW on June 22.

    Thank you for you email.

Unfortunately at this time we do not offer alternative payment methods or currencies. We hope to add additional payment options in the coming months. Thank you for your patience as we expand our program.

However, we will be happy to hold your earnings on a month-by-month basis. This will allow your payment balance to accumulate before a check is issued. To allow us to do so, please send an email to adsense-support@google.com before the 5th of each month following the month for which you would like payment to be held. For example, to have payment held for June earnings, please email us before July 5th. We unfortunately cannot accept requests for indefinite holds, or for holds until specific balances have been reached.

To have your payment held for this month, please send us a separate email with your request.

Please feel free to email us at adsense-support@google.com if you have additional questions or concerns. For technical support, please email adsense-tech@google.com.

Thats a shame about the holds before specific balances. I'm sure there was something about alternative arrangements for below their current default. o well!

Yea google support in general is really great considering their size! Hopefully one day they will manage the currency thing - but it is one huge task!
