Could you describe one that you can't get rid of, for example.

    Use HiJackThis.

I currenlty have the MidADle one that logs all the sites you visit to ads234.com, I hate it, still reading on how to get rid of it.

Make sure you know what you're deleting with HiJackThis, don't just click everything on the list or you could mess up your computer.

You have to create a corrupt cookie and have it having the same name as the MidADle cookie. Same as that DoubleClick one.

The program I'm using now is Spysweeper. Adaware and Spybot have gotten stale and stopped updating it seems.

How come I never seen to get adware? Perhaps it is because I never click Yes when an active x pop up comes up, I never open email attachments I didn't ask for and I never install anything without checking it with a spyware-checker and a virus-scanner (both freeware).

Prevention is the best way to stop things, not dealing with them after you get them.

Good point incka. I don't have any problems either but there are some people who just can't get around accepting malware.

I took the same precautions but had to remove about 10 a week with IE.
