New Site, Looking for reviews & Ideas

Ok, I just put up my new site: http://www.websitetraderz.info

And I thought I'd ask for reviews and ideas before publicly linking to it everywhere.

The site is a Web Site / Domain Name Auction site. Still not decided on what I am doing on the left side of the page, so any ideas are welcome.

    Kyle is right.

if the z... ouch was because of speed, you should know that the server just finished doing a 5 gig backup to the backup server.

Speed on that box is normally pretty good except during backup time.

Other than that, what was he right about?

z in traderZZZZ is what i was referring to.

Honestly, websitetraders.info is available, why did you go with a Z?

    I actually own both domains.
Just hadn't decided which to go with.

At the time of my last post, you did not own websitetraders.info....
So you obviously just registered it after my last post.

Which is good, you're taking our advice on the z issue.

    Change the name.

I think a little more colors would be great.

    DNS finally synched.
The site is now websitetraders.info, although websitetraderz.info still works for pointing to it.

You had the one with the Z before the one without :|
    That just doesn't make sense.

With a Z in the domain name, that's 1 more character to type, it's harder for most people to type than other letters, and it just generally makes the website unprofessional looking and just kinda zuckz.

I think that the website could benifit from a more friendly design. This seems somewhat dull and techy.

There was an idea for using the z instead of the s which did make sense, but since I've gotten so much criticism for that choice then I won't get into the reason for it.

I used that design because the site's sister site is quickpipe.com which has a similiar design.

I'm a developer more than a designer, I build the scripts which I use. When I build web sites, I usually go for laid back rather than flashy

part of the reason included the fact that is already registered a websitetraders.com which goes no where but I wanted it to be slightly different and not as associated with a domain already registered

Actually after thinking about it for a minute, the Z doesn't bother me because "strange" things often make sites stand out, make them memorable. Take for example slashdot, the name is kinda funky and IMHO that helped contribute to its success.

Since you took websitetraderz.info to avoid confusion with websitetraders.com, take websitetraderz.com if it is available.
