    Link text

If I have 2 links from one page, both going to another page but with different anchor text, will one be ignored or will search engines, and Google in particular recognise both ?

i.e. Page a links to page b with anchor text "cat"

Page a also links to page b with anchor text "dog"

There's no guarantee that google will pick one over the other. Only one of the links will count in terms of PR. To be certain, only link to page "b" once, or use consistent anchor text.
