    Percept.be must become #1 for "Percept"

    As you all know I have one website, percept.be and alltough I have 50+ backlinks and a PR5 there are still sites ranking better for the term "Percept'.

    The site on #1 has PR4 and ONLY 4 backlinks ... how can they rank higher then me ? Especially since most of my backlinks say "Percept".

    I really don't get it, it's not important for my site but it's important for me too understand the ranking algo better. Anyone any ideas ?

    Change your forum sig link anchor text to 'Percept' not 'website Percept.be'.

    Put 'Percept' in h1 tags on your homepage, put all the other titles in h2.

    Ah, yes, I removed all onpage factors a while ago ( before I got all the backlinks ).

    Similar thing annoys me for Msn Emotions, as I have a higher PR than the Jaffro, I've exchanged links with him and mike, our backlinks are just the keyword, I have done all the stuff I've read, yet he is higher... It's as if google favours .org's...

    Why don't you make it just "percept" in your signature at the various forums that are showing in your backlinks, see if that make a difference?
