Hmm, long awaited news, I wonder when the stock starts trading live.

Interesting. I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing yet. It will be interesting to see some of the business logic behind google and what really makes them tick.
I would love to get some shares right at the start, because I think the share price will rocket up to start with. Then I'd keep an eye on it with my finger close to the sell button
When will they actually offer shares?
Just read that the share price would be set by an auction process of bidding. No chance for small investors to start with then.

I sure would like to short this stock. You just know that it's going to be over inflated its first couple of days.
The problem is it might go down. As Chris has said before the stock has been hyped up by everyone.
Careful! I'll bet there will be several jumps in price a few days after the IPO as the people who missed the IPO try to get a piece.Originally posted by Nick

Not hype, the 2 figures are telling different stories. The 20-25 billion figure is the predicted value of the WHOLE company, the shares that will go into the IPO will just be a percentage of the total holding (say 10%) hence the hope to raise 2.7 billion.Originally posted by Percept
Serious hype, analists have made claims of 20-25 biljon $ , Google said they hope to raise 2,7 biljon.

Anyone think this has anything to do with the wild fluctuations in CTR and EPC many AdSense users have seen over the last couple of days? Quite a coincidence.
I've experienced these fluctuations in the last couple of days too. But I think it's just what you say - a coincidence.
It will go down. And thats the reason I'd like to short it.Originally posted by incka
