How would you make a script that only let you go to a page if you have registered at an affiliate's site that allows incenticices sign ups??????????????????????

Unless the affiliate has some sort of API you'd need to update a user's preferences manually I'd think.

.... one thing people do is have a password that is "The third word of the fourth paragraph on the welcome page after you sign up at xxx merchant."

Its not 100% secure, but it works.

Its obvoius its members so I never sign up!
