Hello everyone, and welcome to my attempt at helping those of you
out there that would like to become an affiliate marketer. If your not
sure what a affiliate marketer is, well you have come to the right post.
Lets Break it down. According to Wikipedia Affiliate marketing is a
marketing practice in which a business rewards one or more affiliates
for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate‘s own
marketing efforts. Examples include rewards sites, where users are
rewarded with cash or gifts, for the completion of an offer, and the
referral of others to the site. The industry has four core players: the
merchant (also known as ‘retailer’ or ‘brand’), the network the
publisher (also known as ‘the affiliate‘), and the customer. The market
has grown in complexity to warrant a secondary tier of players,
including affiliate management agencies, super-affiliates and
specialized third parties vendors.
Affiliate marketing overlaps with other Internet marketing methods to
some degree, because affiliates often use regular advertising methods.
Those methods include organic search engine optimization, paid search
engine marketing, e-mail marketing, and in some sense display
advertising. On the other hand, affiliates sometimes use less orthodox
techniques, such as publishing reviews of products or services offered
by a partner.
Affiliate marketing—using one website to drive traffic to another—is a
form of online marketing, which is frequently overlooked by
advertisers. While search engines, e-mail, and website syndication
capture much of the attention of online retailers, affiliate marketing
carries a much lower profile. Still, affiliates continue to play a
significant role in e-retailers’ marketing strategies. So Now we know
what a Affiliate is.
I am going to assume that whoever is reading this has no idea on how
to become an affiliate or how to Internet Market.
Before we go any further lets me make one thing very clear, if you are
new to affiliate marketing or any form of internet money making it is
not easy when you first starting out, I don’t care who tells you it is. Its
not. When you looking online for the answer to “How do you make
money on the internet” your going to come across a lot of folks saying
that it is easy. Those folks are only saying its easy because they want
you to think they have all the answers so you will purchase there product.
What do you have to do to succeed? First you have to have the right
frame of mind. You have to know what areas your week in. Do not try
to learn everything at once. learn one thing at a time. for example if
you don’t know How to build a website sit down in front of your PC
don’t answer any emails or your phone until you have figured out how
to build a website, with todays software its pretty easy. In other
words, you are going to have to learn some new skills in order to be
successful on the internet at making money, it doesn’t matter if you
want to be an affiliate or market your own products from you own
website, By the way being an affiliate is a good way to learn how to
market your own products form your website.
The very first thing you need to do, is to find your market but not just
your market, a “ Niche Market”. What is a Niche Market? its basically
a market within a market. lets look at them.
There are three main markets out there on and off the internet, They
are Health, Wealth, Life Style. In each one of those markets exist
several more markets (niche markets) lets look at those.
Health: Diet, weight loss, vitamins, supplements, medical , stop
smoking, alternative therapies, head ach relief, keep fit.
Wealth: work from home, forex, business opportunity, internet
marketing, public domain, for closed homes, repos. stay at home moms.
Life Style: mind and body, personal development, pets, baby boomers,
self improvement, online study courses, computers, alternative
energy, home care, going green. I am sure that you could still find
more markets inside each of those, but for now this will work fine.
So take a look at those niche markets up above and pick a few that you
may like. Do you work out? You could pick one from health that your
familiar with, mabe you take supplements and know a few things
about them, that could be your niche market.That’s a quick look at
finding your niche market.
Lets start with the basics to become an affiliate. To become a affiliate is
really easy. All you have to do is go to these sites, Clickbank and CJ,
there are a lot out there. I picked these two because they are the
biggest and have been around for a long time, those two reasons, to
me seem like safe reasons to use these guys, Clickbank and CJ,( I
don’t make any money when you click on either one.) Like I said there
are a lot more out there but between the two there are plenty of
products to choose from. After you sign up for Clickbank , go to
market place at the top of the page, click on it and you will be taken to
a page that is full of vendors waiting for People to become affiliates for
them, get there link and make sure you save it on your PC somewhere
where you can find it. I put it in my notepad and place it on my
desktop. Do the same with CJ.

Thats how you become an affiliate. Next, all you need to do is market
you affiliate link.
