    Are you optomizing for speed?

Given Google (Matt Cutts has anyway) have come out and said that site speed will be a factor in ranking sites how much time are you putting into speeding up your sites (both old and new)?

I am constantly looking to do it.

I also find it ironic in Google Webmaster Central the tip they give me to increase my speed is to ditch Google Analytics.

Why would you not be optimizing your site's speed even if google wasn't making it in effect?

You shouldn't do things for Google; you should be doing things for your visitors, and your visitors want a fast site. What isn't to understand there?
