    Setting up a download file

I have an Excel document that I would like to be a download file from a website.

I use FrontPage and I can link to the excel file, and when I select it from a browser, a dialog box comes up giving the options to Open or Save the file.

Here is my desire…when the link is selected I would like a dialog box that would only give a SAVE option; not allowing it to be OPENED from the site.

Thats not something you're going to easily be able to do, if at all. Its mostly client side settings that'll determine that.

The only thing I can think of would be to change mime settings on your server and basically lie about what type of file it is -- but considering you won't be changing the extension I don't know if that'd work at all.
