Question Any risks with search engines n multi-domain hosting?

Just wondering if using multi-domain hosting can in any way cause you a problem with your listings or rankings on search engines?

Definitely yes. I highly recommend not doing it if you can at all avoid it.

Having multiple domains for a single website all forwarded is fine. That is no problem. (for instance, literature-web.net, onlineliterature.com, theliteraturenetwork.com, all forward to my online-literature.com domain. )

But taking what is logically one site and breaking it up over multiple domains is a bad idea. (like using domains instead of subdirectories or subdomains)

You and I know that a domain can hold more than one site, or a site can span more than one domain, but search engines tend not to think that way. I've had nothing but problems when I've done things like that.
