Question about my web directory and search engines?

Ive got a very successful niche web directory that makes good money for me. Now, I would like to set up another 1 or 2 directories in the same nich. I would do a different design layout and try to make them look and seem as different as possible, but my concern is that the Search Engines my some how see them as duplicate. Is this an issue for directories? Could it affect my original directory in an adverse way?

Use Copyscape to determine if your content of your website is duplicated from other article/blog site unless give credit to source of article/blog site.

If you are going to start a new web project, it will definitely be more difficult of a task than your currently running web directory portal.

Try beginning everything as fresh, new ideas and articles to be written and avoid copied materials as they would not help your website gaining ranks or trust on the web.
