    vbulletin keyword spam trigger

You know what vbulletin needs? An option where a post by a new user is checked against a list of spamwords, and if it matches, have it go into the moderator queue. Check for things like "iphone" or "tramadol" and if they use the word, stick it in the moderator queue. Would be an easy to make function, and oh so useful.

I noticed that spammer this morning and was going to post something about it. To be honest, I really don't know what some of these spammers are trying to achieve. They must know their posts will not survive the day and that there will not get sufficient exposure to get indexed. All this work for nothing, except aggravation on the part of the board moderators.

Can the bulletin board be programmed in such way that all newbies must go through a moderator queue, regardless of any keywords? Then, perhaps after 25 approved posts, their level gets bumped up to where their posts are no longer placed in queue...

It seems like a simple feature like that would bring an end to 99% of spammers.
