Copyright iolation and settlement charges

I have noticed several articles I own copyright to are spread illegally across the internet. Do I have any rights to demand a settlement charge from those using these articles? Let's say demand $150.00 and the removal of the article.

You can demand anything. It doesn't mean they'll pay up. You may scare them though.

I probably wouldn't charge a settlement fee.

Either ask them to remove it within x days or face legal action (should scare them off enough) or give them anoother option to pay for the article and link back (of course, I am not sure how important the exclusivity is to you)

Look at what Getty Images does. You could probably do the same, but may be talk to a lawyer first. In that case, you should be able to ask for at least $1,000 a violation.
