    Computer desk

Can anyone recommend a good place to buy a computer desk? I've been to Wal-Mart, they didn't have much of a selection or anything I like. OfficeMax had several, but none that would work for me.

Now, its been about a month since I last checked so they may have some new stuff in, but, where did you buy yours or would you recommend?

I agree with Shawn Weeks. I purchase all my computer desks from there. Also some PC World's have a good selection.

I got mine from OfficeMax, why did what they have not work for you? Also check online (Amazon.com for instance) you might get free shipping.

Generally I can never find a computer desk without a stupid useless part. For me it is the keyboard tray. I'm so tall that I need to remove it so my knees fit underneath the desk. Also sometimes for some dumb reason there are verticle slats on shelves as some kid of dividers. Those are stupid so I leave those off.

We bought two solid tables from Ikea (rectangular, with rounded metal legs). Cost about half what an equally solid desk would have cost - I have no use for an extra draw cluster, or desktop shelving. And we have 2 scanners so the extra depth helps

Heh... I love the shelving. I have so much crap I'd be lost without them. I sit surrounded by shelves and file cabinets.

Well, a majority of the ones they had were corner units, which I don't need, and size was a problem too, either too big or too small. Of course, its been about a month or two so they may have some new inventory in, so I'll be checking tomorrow.

I have a corner one, you don't like those.
