Does anyone know if there's a good XML based webservice that exists for the purpose of checking domain name availability?
I want to offer users their own domains, and would like them to be able to check the availability without leaving my site. I was hoping there would be something I could use via SOAP or similar.
Anyone know? A Google search didn't turn up much apart from one webservice that doesn't seem to exist anymore.
What about using ENOMs paid service to offer this built into your site? I think its <100yr.

If you have a reseller account their API is free. You could also use the API to register domains for your customers right from your site.

Yep. Looks like exactly what I need! I didn't realise it was quite so cheap to setup a reseller account like that.
