High Availability Physical Servers & Cloud

Hi guys,

This is not a service request, so please do not recommend any web hosts! The purpose of this thread is to build some awareness about High availability (HA) functionality on the Cloud and about HA in web hosting setups in general.

As web host ourselves, we use VMware's Cloud computing technology to build High Availability servers. My question is "Are you familiar with High Availability and do you use any HA technology yourself as user or provider?"
