Hi friends,
Why is inert gas used in TIG welding?
TIG (tungsten idle gas) welding, otherwise called gas tungsten curve welding (GTAW), is a circular segment welding process that uses a non-consumable tungsten cathode to create the weld. TIG welding utlizes a consistent current welding power supply to produce an electric bend between the tungsten terminal and the workpiece, utilizing the resultant warmth to make the weld.
