AdSense Earnings - WTF?!

Hi All

I'm new to the forum, so I'd like to thank you all in advance for any feedback.

I recently started a content site and was doing pretty well within the first few weeks. However, over the last few days, my AdSense payout per click has dropped significantly. I'm especially confused by this because I haven't changed much about the site, or the content of the posts.

Does anyone have any personal experience/information they can share?

In exchange, I would be more than willing to share a few tips regarding ad placement :)
