The percentage of users who visit a page and then leave.
Of course, the bounce rate of your index page is particularly important.
Do you know how they measure it?
It doesn't make sense - most people visit a site and then leave (or am I missing something totally obvious here?)
According to Google Analytics:

Ah - that makes more sense - otherwise quite a few off my viewers are still on my site :)
