Most SEOs will tell you that the meta keyword tag is ignored by most search engines. I still include it and go up to about 60 characters. It takes very little time and it makes me think about my most important terms.
Google has some guidelines to use keywords. it should be from 55 to 60 characters. When you are using long tail keywords google can easily crawl your keywords and easily get appear on search engine.
Totla characters of all keywords shouldn't be exceed more than 70 characters. if it's exceeded this meta tag willn't be seo friendly....
