PR is updating.

Well, it is. Sort of.

My website shows a PR of 6 (Yesterday my PR was 0). A PR of 6 is probably around what it might be when the PR updates, since I have a link from a site with a PR of 8.

But the catch is: Only my friend in California and one other person I have asked can see the PR. I can't. Other people I've asked can't. Only two people. We've experimented to see if it was a "normal" toolbar glitch, but the PR remains.

What could this be? Datacenters not updating? Could it be a "new" glitch?

Gee, I hope it is a PR update. My sites should have PR6's aswell since my sites are getting spidered by the Googlebot daily.

I also seem to get a 0 for u as well im in california. But you know what i just looked at my site and i have a pr4. So it does look like it is updating. I just submitted 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Im a bit confused is google giving me a pr4 based on the the data collected last time googlebot visited my site ? Because since than i have updated alot and got more incoming links.

Also another question is when will google start showing my backlinks ?

Well, PR is showing up many new places for many people.

If it's not the start of a PR update, I don't know what it is.

If it is it might be able to read flash, and if it does now read flash my websites PR will increase dramatically...

I've also noticed that my backlinks have updated. Maybe my PR will follow?

You're right, Chris :)

With this new PR so soon, I'm going to dominate my small little field. I will tie and/or beat my top 3 competitors with this PR. I'll at least jump ahead of all the spam sites.

Now, it's just a question of when the PR will be updated for everyone and when will it be factored into search results.

I've been at the PR of 4 for ages... No matter how hard I try I can't get it to increase...

And alot of the pages on my site have PR of 2 even though I have 0 external links...

It hasn't finished updating yet. My site sometimes shows backlinks, sometimes doesn't, then it does again etc etc...

I am pointing my toolbar to an updated datacenter (thanks Chris) and your site is a PR of 4. Yahoo is now a 9 :)

I also couldn't understand which site of mine you were refering to as I hadn't published any in my sig. Then I find my freelance business site has the PR of 4 resulting from these forums. Must be through my profile. Wasn't expecting that at all! Haha :)

Add that to your hosts file, which is located at: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

I'm not that bothered really, it gives me an exuse to make a new design all in css. Also it wont take long as I'm just going to make an automatic script to create the code for the categories.
