when are you going IPO? hehe
Hehe, next Tuesday I think ;)
Crispen... what made you choose that name?
I like it :)
Did you do the forms manually or use an accountant ?
congratulations.
Hey R2, I meant to ask who that company you used was again? :)
www.simpleformations.com is the company I used - I just supply the crucial details, they sort out the details in the Articles of Association and all that stuff. Thoroughly recommend them for anyone else.
My Mum thought of the name - My name is Chris and my girlfriend is Penny... Chris Penny.. ChrisPen.. Crispen. I like it too :) As does Penny ;)
thats interesting, that you can do it online, I just did it through my attorney.
I like the name; it's a good one.
But what happens if you break up with your girlfriend? Does she own part of the company, or just have her name in 1/2 of its name?
Way to jinx his relationship, dude ;) hehe
Hehe, I did think of that. Thats why my mum is secretary of the company, not my ladyfriend. And I own all the shares.
Naming it partly after her got me free of giving here any shares or official role :)
Yah, major brownie points I guess "He named tha company after me..." swoon
Do you have the domain name ?
Yep ;)
I bought crispen.co.uk but 'Eric Crispen' has crispen.com. He doesnt seem to do much with it though, I may see if he wants to sell.
Nice. All sounds good! What made you want to set up a ltd company anyway? Got any big plans? ;)
I started while I wasn't making much, and I had no idea if it would be useful, but now it is. I think it would be benefical for you to get one too Richard.
I believe that if you want to start making big money, a ltd company is the best way to go really and I wanted to gain experience in running a proper company and learning all the things you need to know about.
Also, since I have a job anyway, I dont really need the profit from my web stuff, so if I leave it in the company I can keep it tax free up to £10,000/year.
What kind of benefits are you seeing from this, Sean? (Damnit, I can't stop typing Incka whenever I try to say your name.)Quote:

(Sorry for topping an old thread, but...)
R2, http://www.simpleformations.com/ now goes to a 'Send Receive' email company. Any idea on what happened to Simple Formations?
It did work, cause I had a look!
Try these folks , who offer a similar service - not tried them though, so not a recomendation as such
Hmmm, thats slightly worrying - especially as I am using their Registered address service to forward all post for me. I did get something from IR a few days ago that was reposted by them, so I'm not sure what went wrong. Maybe I'll give them a ring to see whats up.Quote:

Hey Blue - yeah I know, I looked into them a bunch when R2 first posted about them.
R2 - looking forward to a positive response :)
And I would just like to say how bloody difficult it is to come up with a company name! That is all.
Ah, site is back up now :D
How odd!
"That is all" is not a bad company name :p
Ha! Don't tempt me :)
Isn't it! I even wrote a program to list loads of random [consonant vowel consonant vowel consonant] made up words in the hope of finding something nice! (I think Sean suggested that idea!)Quote:

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
