I use zZounds.com's datafeed to power 3 stores (using my own script). Just as an example.
Thanks, what kind of products do zZounds have on their datafeed?
The kind of products they list at zZounds.com ;)
Well, yes, of course. I guess what I meant to ask was if you have any websites using zZounds.com that you could show me.
www.guitar-shopper.com is my main one (they're all somewhat similar).
Is that site making you good money?

For my massive datafeed project.
Chris, is your income on those progressing along your projections?
Yes and no.
The no is that its taking longer to get the sites fully indexed than I expected.
I think am gonna make some site's outa zzsound data feed but featuring only 1 kind of guitar brand, maybe one for Ibanez,Fender, another for Les Paul and so on.
Plus coupled it with some tab's maybe.
So, the income is meeting your projections then?Quote:

I want to be fully indexed in all search engines, but DP only tracks Google and with the number of sites its time consuming to track it manually.
Is there any way to create a tool like DP to track MSN and Yahoo SERPs?
Without an API it would just be pulling up the SERPs and parsing them. Possible sure, but harder.
Getting off topic here, maybe the topic of another thread... but have you heard anything of either of them developing an API?
No I haven't.
If I was to develop an indexing checker for Yahoo and MSN via the parsing method, would I get them knocking on my door and complaining?
i think you would, I would ask them first. Who knows, they might say yes.
Can't MSN's RSS feed be used? http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q...=rss&FORM=ZZRE?
Doesnt look like it, the RSS feed doesnt seem to contain the total numbers of pages, plus the copyright section in the RSS says you couldnt use it for that.
Hi Guys,
I am a consultant for zZounds and helped them get their feed going.
I have a list of all of our programs that offer free feeds plus programs that use our IPC (Instant Page Creator) that lets you build custom sites filled with thousands of products in about 2 minutes. It's dynamic and offers different format options.
Be sure to check out the National Geographic IPC demo just so you can play with it and see how versatile it is.

Let me know what you think of the IPC.
QUESTION - is the IPC similar to AWS or API type apps? Are there any features the other apps have that we are missing? Is ours as easy to use as others?
Thanks!
Shouldnt these be things you should be keeping up with yourself?Quote:

Hi r2d2
"Shouldnt these be things you should be keeping up with yourself?"
I'm just in marketing and it's not my product, so no not really. I know how the IPC works, not my job to know how they all work. I am not an affiliate or the developer so I have not had the need or the time to look into either app and since I'm not a programmer it would probably look like greek to me. Hence the question. I assume from some things I have read they are somewhat similar. So was curious. :)
Ah Ok. By 'you', I really meant zZounds in general, but I see now you were a consultant rather than working for the company directly.
Anyway, I just meant someone from zZ should be keeping up with the other market leaders with regards to affiliate program features.
Actually zZounds is only one out of about 20 affiliate programs I consult for and they just have a straight feed. They don't have an API type tool at all like the IPC many of our other clients use.
We are in the process BTW of adding 8 more IPC datafeed tool programs in the next month or so. Luggage, executive gifts, golf push carts, spare beds, pet products, rugs, flooring and a couple others. We are also working on a new dynamic version that is spiderable PHP instead of java. I'm sure the developer knows all about the API and other options. I just don't, so was curious how this one stacks up.
Hi Linda,
I signed up for zZounds last week. I plan to do similar with it the way I have my amazon sites. Will be another two weeks or so before I can really dive into it.
DP has added the ability to do MSN and Yahoo lookups as well.
Thanks, DP is getting more useful everyday. I did not know that you could now check rankings in MSN and Yahoo.
Gtech, I need to get ahold of you. Please prv msg or send me an email, thanks!Quote:
