MSN messenger is the IM I use most, but I really need the features adding or I'm going to not have it operating on my computer most of the time:
Group blocking. When I'm working I don't want to be distrubed by friends.
Group nicknames, I would like a different username for my business contacts and my friends.
Anyone know any addons with these features?

Yea i think better grouping control is the main thing that needs to be addressed. Better p2p file transfer. better status system 'busy' just doesn't cut it, it would be nice to make your own with a message, like in good old ICQ.
Incka you might be able to do some of this stuff with trillian, probably have to use the features a bit differently but it would get what you want i guess.
Was just thinking of Trillian too, are there any other clients about?
I think there should be something that only shows you as online to people you select, that way people don't begrudge you for them being "blocked" when you just needed some quiet.
The new msn looks awful, it started out as a business application should stay that way. If microsoft wants to make a personal messenger, let them make it seperate.

I actually like windows media player as it's simple to use, I've never figured out how to do playlists in Quicktime and DivX and the skin they use looks awful. I want AllMusic.com to make a media player as it would finds music in the mood you are in like their site does.
I like roxio player the best.
new version of winamp is good. streaming tv is great and radio is top quality.
I like winamp because it's versatile, I don't use it because it crashes very often for no apparent reason.
i use a table top cd player and radio.
I don't like DixX/Sonique/WinAmp because all the features confuse me.
winamp. I dont like the interface for the media library.
