Wordpress Plugin To Validate Emails

I'm a WP newbie. I've set up my own WP blog for several days, having a question though.
Which plugin do you use to prevent spammers through your Wordpress site forms? From what I read from the Internet, I have installed the DisableComment to totally close comment sections on all pages/posts/media files. I also read somewhere that I should install Akismet and Accurate Form Data plugins to prevent form spammers. Basically the plugins work by verifying emails/physical addresses users enter into any forms of my site to see if the data is real. Users can submit the form only when all the data is verified.
Have any of you here used the plugins?
