Measuring Performance in Your Org... Salesforce Lightning continues to evolve, with performance improvements being a key focus. But how can you measure the speed in your own org? There are multiple ways to do this, and we’ll explore two simple methods that require no extra configuration or tools.

Measuring Performance in Your Org
If you've been working with Salesforce as an admin or developer, you’re likely familiar with the Lightning Usage App. This tool provides key insights into activity, security, and usage metrics—including page performance.

For instance, the Page Performance tab in the Lightning Usage App gives an overview of the most accessed pages, showing their load times. While a fresh Developer Edition may display optimal results, production orgs often exhibit performance variations due to more complex configurations and user activity.

Quick Page Speed Check
A lesser-known but effective way to check Experienced Page Time (EPT) is by adding ?eptVisible=1 to the end of your page URL. This simple trick displays a counter that shows the exact load time in seconds (with two decimal places). It’s particularly useful if you want to track performance fluctuations after making page modifications.

Another method involves enabling Lightning Components Debug Mode in Setup. This option not only reveals the EPT counter but also shows network bandwidth details. However, keep in mind that this mode disables caching and minification, potentially affecting performance while testing.

Enhancements for Mobile Users
Salesforce isn’t just improving Lightning Experience on desktops. Significant optimizations have been made to the Salesforce mobile app, allowing users to navigate screens and records much faster. These Lightning Experience enhancements benefit both desktop and mobile environments, providing a smoother workflow across platforms.

If you haven’t updated your mobile app yet, now is a great time to explore the latest version. Salesforce continues to refine user experience with direct customer feedback, ensuring that speed and usability remain a top priority across all devices.
