I understand why Tribal Fusion is the best advertising program out there. To get in, you need a minimum 1000 uniques per day!!

That seems very difficult. So who here is in the program?

I am in there with one site but Im finding its about the same as fastclick

I have enough traffic, just my site isn't suitable. My next site that I'm working on with someone else will easily get in, as several similar sites are in already and always have loads of TF ads on, and hardly any defaults.

I have two sites that use it.

I use Tribal Fusion on www.surviveoutdoors.com.
Pretty happy with them.

Good for you guys. :)
1000 uniques are 'doable' but quite a challenge.

Hmmm, not really a challenge. It all depends on your site's topic.

However, often some low traffic "niche" sites generate more revenue than high traffic, un-original sites.

just wondering, what's the advantages to tribal fusion? i get like 1200-1500 uniques per day (sometimes 2000+), but i like to keep my sites ad-free unless it's going to really benefit me (i added google adsense for a day and only made $2.50, so i took it off as i'd rather have an ad-free site than 2 bucks a day)

It depends on your pageviews. Say you get five page views per visitor with an average CPM of about $1 and you have 2k uniques a day, you'll make about $10 a day.

Thats not much more than on fastclick...

i just applied to tribalfusion, figure i might as well try it out

if i don't like it and i take it off my site, would that keep me from getting back in later if i changed my mind?

also, is the only requirement 1000 uniques/day?

A friends site is getting 45,000 visitors a day and he can't get into tribalfusion. Not everything is about visitor numbers.

What's the site?

My friends site is www.msnemotions.info - He has a link exchange with my games sites and michael gersitz's game site...

I'm giving him PR in return for a popup of games2go. This should mean we both get about 45,000 visitors a day...

Incka you recieve 45,000 uniques a day?
that is amazing, why aren't you making more money?

Mike

He isn't, as msnemotions.info isn't high in google or any other search engine anymore.

Incka how do u get that high amount of visitors if you are placed at about 600,000 in www.Alexa.com, I get about 5,000 a day and i am placed at 63,000

Mike right, google dropped it down the results, and most of its competition too... Alexa is wrong, don't use it, the sooner website developers abandom Alexa the better.

why is alexa wrong ?
i think it is a great website for seeing other peoples stats

It isn't accurate. It often has sites completly wrong...

DaveM

just for the record Im not implying anything at all here.

Say you got 2 sites, one gets 10k and the other 100k. So your using fastclick on the 10k site, then you decide to apply for the 100k site, they deny it and you decide you will make tonnes of money by just popping up the site that is running fastclick ads on the site that isn't since it gets over 100k

The point of this is you are actually not allowed to do this and you can get canned by fastclick Ive seen them tell it on a board somewhere.

Alexa gets their stats from people who are using the alexa toolbar which isn't really a reliable source.

And there is also software that you can buy to manipulate your alexa ranking (and stats).

You dont even need to buy it! Its just a simple Javascript script that fetches webpages from your site from your browser - obviously you need alexa toolbar installed.

Someone posted the script on here or SP.

There isn't a benefit to having a higher Alexa ranking, so why bother?

Mike

Well if you were exchanging links with a high traffic site, and they wanted to know you traffic, you could say check my alexa ranking I suppose.

Someone said tribal fusion said they used them for stats idea, and if unsure asked to see real stats.
