Pretend I have a site with a PR0 (Well, actually I do, but that isn't the point), and I get a link in my signiture to it on murmurs.com. I have over 5500 posts on murmurs.com and every thread has a PR of 2. I think I've posted in about 3000 different thread pages. How much PR will I get my PR 0 site up to if there in no other incoming links?

Depends on the PR of each and every thread (if they have even been spidered) and the amount of outgoing links on that page.

My estitmate would be PR4 or 5.

I think 5 is probably more likely. This assumes though that everypage is indexed and less than about 40 links on each page.

I have written a PR tool in Excel which can do all this easily, will share it with you guys when its completely finished. It is a great demonstration of how PR really works.

Cool.

What if the site already had a PR 5?

Depends where it is in PR5, if its near the top it might get to PR6.

You would need to be very near the top though, at least 'PR5.8'.

How do you tell your pr .?

You can't. You can only guess on previous experience. For example, if in the last update you moved from a 6 to a 5 then you can guess you're pretty close to a top end 5 (5.8+) assuming you haven't been dropped by a major link partner.

Anyway, as far as I understand it, if Google has introduced Local Rank then even if you do get PR from murmurs, it wont count for an awful lot because it's not related in topic to your game sites.
