When linking exchanging with another website, do you bother with checking their PR?

Afterall PR isn't anything special anymore, but its still nice to have a high PR.

yes linking exchange with a relevant site is very essential, most especially that site has a good pr!

Link exchanges are things that need to be entered into carefully.

What I tend to do is in-content link exchanges where I'm seeking a single link from inside an article in exchange for a link inside an article.

Site-wide link exchanges or "links page" link exchanges are things I generally shun.
