Have you done any keyword research?

I know you say that branding is $$$ and motor0bucket would require lots of money, and if possible choose the domain with keywords.

however...neither of these domains are very strong with keywords relating to car classifieds. smartkar guide is probably better than motor bucket in terms of keyword domain.

january 07 overture

5753 car guide
2451 buying car guide
1837 buyer car guide
1704 car guide used
1496 car guide price used
1162 buying car guide used
1133 car guide price
1087 car guide old price
873 2007 buying buying car car consumer guide guide report used used
811 audio car guide installation
712 buying car guide new
697 car consumer guide
652 car classic guide price

mot0rbucket doesnt really have any keywords.

I don't like overture because it doesn't pull out plurals.

Why did you identify "car guide" as your primary key phrase?

I would start with just "cars" then browse down through the related keyphrases, drilling down until I find a phrase that matches my desired content, is popular, and doesn't have much competition. Then I would target that keyphrase in my SEO, starting with the domain of course. The domain doesn't need to be fully generic, but including most or all of the keyphrase is a huge benefit.
