I recently set up www.empoweringsounds.com for my brother and he is wanting to start contacting people for link exchanges.

A question, what would be the best way to link back?

The first one is better, but try for more variety in anchor text.

I would also choose the first one as you have more good keywords in the anchor text than what you do with the second one.

Hi, I would say just use both of them. Using the first version all the time might look unnatural and artificial on Google.

You should probably try vary the text a little for better results. Mix and mash them all a little for different link exchanges :)
