I've been building a website that's an Economics message board. Right now, it's the best one I've seen because it's simple and to the point. Yet, for some reason when I do a search for "Economics Message Board", I can't find my website. When I type in the name of my site, Alpha Economist, it's the first out of 2million. I have meta tags, links, headings, etc. What am I doing wrong?

Here's my website if you guys would be willing to take a look.

Thanks,

Well, you obviously know how to do offpage optimization for proper anchor text.

However your on-page optimization leaves a lot to be desired. For instance you don't include your main keyphrase "economics message board" in your title tag.

Are you even sure that it is the best keyphrase to target?

Read through the SEO guide on this site, it covers whatyou need to know.

I agree, economics message board could be too broad a keyword with very strong competition.
