PR Updates

Do these still happen? I can't remember the last one. Does anyone think PR makes any difference now?

Similarly, does anyone know how often the backlinks are updated in the index?

PR is due anytime.

PR is just something pretty to look at it IMHO. It does give some indiciation but I wouldn't soley rely on it .

There wasn't a Q3 update, I think it is one of the longest periods between updates.

PR is delayed because Google notices that many are obsessed about it and they make a profit out of PR...


Don't obsess over Google PageRank. What you see in the toolbar is several months old, and doesn't affect rankings like it used to. PageRank is now more about crawl frequency and depth, and whether a page is stored in the main index or supplemental index....

Ya, Google update PR in jan 2008 I see changes in Google toolbar for my sites PR 0 to 2.

It depends upon the Quality links of the site. So should emphasis on Building Quality Backlinks

first PR update in around mid of jan in this year. I have also getting update for my site PR and backlinks in feb last also.

Actually Google now has a lot of surprises.

They will never know when they will implement their PR in the green toolbar.

They even don't follow their constant updates: 3 to 4 months.
