I AM ALL THAT IS MAN!

I am #7 and #8 for "cell phone reviews." That is freaking crazy, that is an incredibly popular search term. I am right before another guy's site here, cellphonereviews.net. I pushed him back to #9.

Sorry :)

Well, at least someone is having some luck.

I can't even get learn-japanese.net in the top 1000 for the phrase - learn japanese.

Yeah, I know what you mean, I'm no where to be found on several search terms. I JUST broke through for this term.

May I ask how much your pulling in each day from that site?

Shawn

It's a good amount.

Nick, how old is your site? From the looks of your site, you should definitely be in the top 1k.

I'm experiencing similar things for some of my new sites. For example, my "Kitchen Appliances" site is no where to be seen at all for the term "kitchen appliances". I'm hoping that it's just because it's a new site. Though a lot of my other new sites are already ranked for at least "some" keywords. Hmmm.

I'm floating between 6-9 in "photoshop tutorials".

Congrats Shawn:)

Chromate, your kitchen appliances site hasen't got PR yet?

Traffic is already skyrocketing, I love it. Lets hope I can improve the ranking or at least stay there.

Yeah, I'm hoping it's just because of that. However, I achieved initial listings in google with all my other sites (including Cookware reviews and Cutlery reviews that also have no PR). I just panic that I'm walking into "Florida traps" with each new site I create making them worthless.

I'm going to hold off creating any new ones now and just build / grow what I already have. Only Carbohydrate Counter is really bringing in any money and that's still at #3. Weight loss tips got booted in the Florida update <shrug>

Shawn why don't you link to wirelessphonereviews from here using the anchor text "cell phone reviews".

May get you up a place or two.

I was wondering the same thing :)

My site has been open since late November. I've got a PR5, and it's completely optimized.

Who knows. My 2 biggest contenders have been online since like 1996, but I still should be in the top 20.

Has your site ever been in the SERPs at all? You have the PR, optimization and backlinks. It seems all you need is a good SERPs update to get you in there where you belong.

hehe it's ok Shawn :) The site does not bring in a lot of money anyways only about $20 a day with 1000 uniques.

As long as I am not pushed off the first page :P

P.S. I see you for one listing #7 I'M #8 LOL

$20 a day for a site's not bad :)

Shawn

Dave, can I check out your stats?

DaveM

What do you want to see? I can take a screenshot for you? Im a little leary giving the password up since it's a universal password(I use it for a lot of things)

Damn, dropping a few spots is gonna make my traffic about 15% down. I probably wont break 800 now today :(

Shawn

Did I do that to you? I'm sorry man.

DaveM

Hopefully with some more link exchanges we can both move up even more.

P.S. that cellphonerank.com site in at #3? is new too

I've never been listed for "learn japanese", but here are the top search strings i get from according to webalizer:

#----Hits--------Search String
1----726--------kanji symbols
2----77----------english to kanji
3----26----------kanji symbol
4----25----------japanese kanji symbols

The site has only been up since november 3rd of this year, so maybe I still have a chance to get listed for "learn japanese"

Shawn & Dave should exchange links. It'd be a hedge against Google changes.

DaveM

We already did a links page exchange.

Shawn
01-16-2004, 06:55 PM
Yes, I did it the same day you mentioned it on AIM.

Chris

A links page... that isn't going to help as much as a page by page exchange. Link from nextel to nextel. Etc.

Shawn

Well, his cell phones site is totally different than mine. He doesn't even list companies. But, I do see your point.
