Hey, its been a long time since I got my old computer so I decided to buy the computer parts and build my own computer, I've never done this from scratch, so it should be interesting. Anyways I just wanted to check the compatibility. Would this mother board: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=19635&vpn=GA-965P-DS3&manufacture=Gigabyte

be able to run this graphic card: http://www.directcanada.com/products/?sku=11610BD9982&vpn=256-P2-N765-AR&manufacture=EVGA

Its a ddr3 - my old computer has an AGP so I'm lost with all these new pci-express cards.

Please let me know. Thanks!

P.S Once I put together the computer would it be able to read from the cd drive/dvd drive so I install windows?

Let me just say... I wouldn't bother. I used to build my own PCs, and those for my friends & family, except eventually it got to the point where it was almost as cheap or cheaper to just buy a Dell that you know works & is supported if something fails. Often to save money on the built ones I'd get parts from smaller cheaper dealers and as often or not they didn't work well.
