With authorize.net when there is a transaction involving a UK or CA customer where their bank DOES participate in AVS the zip code is always wrong.

This thoroughly annoys my customers. I think it has to do with formats (6 characters, letters and number, space in the middle, instead of 5 numbers)

I don't know about Canadian post codes but in the UK it can vary from 5 to 8 characters including the space. I've also had problems because of the post code town where my mail goes having an apostrophe in it.

With a little code the script should be able to tell if the 'zip' is 5 number (or 5 + 4) or made with letter and numbers.

Ya Sam, thats not the problem, the problem is with the payment Gateway Authorize.net

You're not alone in having this problem, a lot of sites i go to don't understand my UK postcode!

That's put me off using them.

Postcodes in UK can be as short as A1 2BN or as long as ZY99 8XW
