Blogger, a duplicate content nightmare

So I've been playing around with my blog and have come to realize that blogger is a duplicate content nightmare. It is even worse than vBulletin for creating duplicate pages out of posts. Are other blog programs as bad about creating multiple index pages that contain complete copies of each blog entry?

Since Google owns blogger have they taken into the duplicate content issue into account when indexing blogger blogs since they are the ones creating the duplicate content mess?

Yes, wordpress duplicates content in categories and monthly archives as well. The duplicate content problem is even worse for blogger that use "tag pages".

Some people use their robots.txt to block search engines from indexing their category and archive pages to avoid duplicate content filters.
