This evening when I logged in to Google Analytics I saw a message that Google is rolling out a newly redesigned GA. From what I see in the "preview" of what is coming it looks like we will be able to learn a lot more details about our traffic and maybe it will be more user friendly. It appears that GA accounts will be migrated over the next month.

This should be very interesting.

BTW: there is the AdWords blog link discussing the update: http://adwords.blogspot.com/2007/05/new-version-of-google-analytics.html

Yeah, I had a quick look at the flash video about the changes

Looks nice. I've always found analytics a little difficult to navigate around. It's nice to see an upgrade coming.

Great news. I like Analytics, but I agree with Zig, I find it difficult to find what I want.

looks like the new version of analytics will be tons of fun.

I've been using the new version for a few days now and I love it compared to the old version. One of my favorite upgrades is the ability to schedule e-mails of reports that you need to review.

Do you think this means google will start to charge for this, or limit the features to non adwords advertisers?

Nah, I wouldn't think they would charge for it...Google doesn't charge for a whole lot of their services.

I don't think they would start to charge either. I'm guessing the extra knowledge they are gaining by allowing everybody to use this service for free is paying for itself in their eyes.

Ya... I see it as a carrot to. It helps make webmasters more dependent on them, and these same webmasters will then be the ones to signup for adwords or adsense.

Are they slowing rolling out the changes to a limited number of people? I can only assume so as I still see the old interface...

They're gradually moving people over to the new interface. I just got switched over last night and I love it!

I just got the option for the new interface added to my dashboard

I have given it a brief look and it appears to be awesome, I will have to play with it more, then learn what all I can actually do with it. ;)

Yeah the new dashboard feature is cool. I like the ability to get stats emailed to me at regular intervals. I just wish I could switch the day that I get my weekly stats.

I still don't have the new interface option! I'm getting antsy hearing everyone talk about it! :)

Same here, I'm still waiting for the new interface.

I never got an email which I read you get somewhere, I just logged into my account and it gives the choice of the new UI or the old. :)

I get it now as default, with the option to use to old format.

I got the new one now as well. Overall I really like it, although I'd still like it to be easier to figure out the exact referrer URL (e.g. hyperlinked)

Just something else to get used too... I like the representation ofthe stats better but the navigation changes make it fun to figure out where to go.

I really like the new interface, one of the things I like is being able to compare any stat against a previous period in time, which helps to see different trends. Took a little bit to figure out all the new options but overall I like it, and it loads a lot faster than the previous version.

What I like is being able to quickly compare pageviews/visit, etc. by country, ISP, etc. This is a great way to track down anomalies.

If Google is trying to lore us into some sort of trap, they are doing a very good job with the new analytics.

Make sure you are at the main "home" page of analytics and not your website's dashboard page as you will see the option to switch over on the "home page".
