So I'm testing adwords on a single product website and tracking using analytics.

My questionis this:

Is it possible to use analytics to find out WHICH keywords from adwords make up the sales on the site?

For example say I use 20 keywords on adwords to drive traffic to my eCommerce site (1 page)... I want to find out what keywords are converting into sales and which are not this way I can eliminate the keywords that are not performing.

Can analytics do this automatically? Will I need to pass a hidden variable to my completed pages and track that way?

Thanks

I believe you can do it, but it is more on the Adwords side than the Analytics side.

Google really should integrate the two.

You can link your Adwords and Analytics accounts and it will then show you your conversions and stuff based on the keywords from Adwords. You don't have to set up anything special other that setting up a "goal" for your sales thank you page in Analytics. More here: http://www.google.com/analytics/feature_adwords.html

Thanks, I've got them linked already and am setting up the "goals" thing now.
