Gmail outgoing mail limit

whats the max number of recipients you can send out at once in gmail at the same time?

Looks like 500 using ther UI and 100 using POP

what about if you use the google hosted service, does it then depend on your servers outgoing limit or is it still 500 since its hosted on googles mail servers.
