Are you planning to upgrade?

I only ask because with vB3 you can stop the session IDs showing in thread URLs, and therefore can targetted ads showing more often with Adsense.

The upgrade is simple enough (your forums are small enough for it not to take too long). If you need help, just let me know.

On the other hand, if you're just waiting for it to be released Gold, then I'm sure you'll get to it then ;)

Is there that much difference? Is it the one sitepoint use?

Also, the ads a pretty targetted at the moment.

I'm waiting for VB3 to get out of beta.

However, I implemented a hack to remove sessionIDs for this version anyways.

That only works if someone has their options set to browse board with cookies - I didn't, so I was seeing the session ID ;)

It seems to be taking a very long time to release version 3. I am running an invisionboard and it seems like I have been waiting maybe a year for this new version of VB to be released so I can transfer to it. I should have just transferred to the current version, then as soon as I had done that the new version would have been released anyway ;)

It's been in public beta for months. And it's certainly stable (I was lucky enough to be on the private beta team, and never had issues even then).

Upgrade now. The only thing I see changing are the default images and one or two small bugs.

vB3 Release Candidate 1 has been released. They expect this to be the final version before vB3 Final (Gold) is release (with new images).

Well the important thing is that search engines don't see it.

I am not going to upgrade on my forum, vB3 IMO has a bad UI.

Any interface takes time to get used to though.
