Problem adding site to certain directories

I am having a problem uploading my site to a few directories. These sites ask for reciprocal links and I have added the links that they ask for but when I try to add my site to the directory I am rejected. An error message appears saying that my reciprocal link could not be found. I added the link and typed the url in correctly. What could be the problem? How coudl this be resolved?

Consider not bothering with such directories, I don't. In general I do not see them as worthwhile.

There are plain free directories out there, and others that charge but only charge $5-$20.

Reciprocal link directories are not only a pain but not worth the effort. All the time spent adding their link you could have submitted your site to other directories that don't require a link back ;)
