Recently, I tried to sign my site up for google adsense and it was rejected for the following reasons: 1. chat site 2. broken links. 1. It isn't a chat site is a site with forums. Chat is in the site's name but there is no chat on the site and I have seen forums with google ads. 2. I know that I don't have any broken links. How was I rejected?

They get numerous applications daily and do not give much of a look at each.

Work on the changes that have been suggested to you here, build up some traffic, and then try applying again.

Some webmasters have one AdSense friendly website so that they are granted permission to display ads. They then display ads on all the sites that would be rejected. I am not suggesting you do this, but it highlights the previous point that Google are some what vague in controlling the sites that are accepted. If you really are stumped as to their reasons for the rejection why not drop them an email, at least this may get them to actually look at your site properly?
