Ive been told to have your designer seperate then your coder because coders just arent that great at design im looking for a designer that is very good at that web 2.0 look, a site i realyl like is www.kajeet.com, any ideas on where to find someone like that at a relativly good price.

I have to agree about the sitepoint design contests. I've never tried it, but it seems like a great deal to get so many people competing over bids that are very reasonable. I like to look at the old contests just to get ideas.

You can also do http://gfxcontests.com, its run by KLB. Since I'd rather give him my business than SP I've been doing my contests over there. Most of the same designers participate, and his site actually loads at a decent speed.

i already found a guy that looks really good already just gotta contact him. Also im going to be having someone doing coding and another person doing desiging what are the steps you take when doing that, do you have them talk to eacother or have the designer leave areas blank for the coder or how does it work.

Just try getafreelancer, rentacoder, scriptlance, elance, and such other freelance websites so that you will get someone to do this at competitive rates. Pay through escrow and then you are safe.

Yeah just try to get a freelancer.. BUT be careful, there are a lot of bad guys out there...
once you get a good freelancer, just make friend with him/her, it would make things easier in the future if you need help.....

just my 2 cents
