Choosing affiliate program

Being an affiliate program, it is our prime interest to know what affiliates really want when they join one or another.

Can you name what is most important for you? What is on first place? Commission rate? Payment schedule? Credibility of the program? Conversion rate? Promoted brand?

What about commission rate?

It depends. If the customer is suttisfied gets the best price than comes back to my site or keeps the cookie so I get more sales from one customer than the rate can be lower. It is better to have 1000 sales per day with 1 dollars commission than 1 sale with 50 dollar. Or some products can be realy cheap with almost no commission and others will people buy because they just get free postage if they buy more stuff but there is high commission.

for me it's just the bottom line, how much will i make. and that's a function of the payout and the conversion rate.

Low minimum payout
Quick payments
Many options of payments
2 tier program can be a benefit
Long cookies, if you can lifetime cookies would be better.
Be competitive with the commission rates.
Etc...
