Hey gang,

I am about to setup an online store, but like all of us here I have a few SEO related "wants".

Does anyone know of a (preferably open source) cart solution which has search engine friendly urls built in for product names ect and has easy integration to Paypal? Product META tags would be great too.

Cheers,

Dan

Sorry for not answering this sooner Dan.

OSC has SE friendly urls, see 4discountknives.com

That is the CRE Loaded version of OSC by oshelpers.com

Thanks for the info Chris.

I went with Zen Cart in the end on recommendation of a friend, and used a SEF url mod for the urls although the admin side of things could be simpler.

Seems to me there is a significant opportunity for someone with the resources to fashion a nice clean cart solution with some simple templating for basic stores whoch do not require all the bells and whistles!

I love MIVA5.

Fully supported by real people on the phone! Reasonable price. TONS of SUPPORT add-ons available. The SEO module is not expensive and it works PERFECT. The admin side has TONS of options, fully integrates with quickbooks for inventory and more. Basically I think it's way better than OSC.
