Just noticed my PR and backlinks have updated.

I have 3 PR 4 sites now :) lol

Anyone else?

I'm seeing some changes... no SERP changes though.

My vanity domain (markbridgeman.com) which just links to all my sites has a PR of 5 now, thanks to backlinks from all my sites ;)

Tidy! No changes with some of my other sites, though.

Yeah, I haven't seen any SERP changes either. Though there are some differences between the data centers. Nothing major like I was expecting though.

I popped up from a PR6 to PR7 for the first time. Freaked me out. Backlinks changed too, but I haven't seen any large change in SERP. I have seen a couple variations though, but nothing like a large dance.

My backlinks haven't updated. :( Some of my new pages got a pagerank but some haven't. That's why I hope it isn't over yet...

My template site has gone from a PR4 to a PR5. Strange considering I have less backward links:)

Congrat's to all.

Unfortunately my changes aren't that good. Several of my PR5 backlinks dissappeared. I checked the sites and they are still PR5 and still have my link, just as always. Why would these be missing?

Same here. I lost a bunch of backward links but still went up. Must have gotten some other, higher quality links.

It'll always be a mystery to me why people get happy when their PR increases -- unless the rankings increase, there is no point in rejoicing.

True. However, there are some fringe benefits to it- better link exchange possibilities, perhaps a greater advertisement revenue stream, etc. Depends on how you look at it.

I agree with what loOol said above, the primary benefit from my point of view is finding it so much easier to secure new backlinks from link exchanges.

The secondary benefit is hopefully an eventual increase in SERP rank. This may or may not happen. But the extra PR certainly can't hurt the process ;)

My site went from #10 to #8 then down to #9 in the last couple of days. As far as I can tell, none of the sites above me changed anything. My PR didn't change. The only thing that I changed was slightly reducing my keyword density for that particular search phrase. I may reduce it a little more and see what happens. (It was pretty high to begin with.)

I think PR means something... when it is above or below a four...

I think he means it only means something when it's PR4+, because of backward links being counted etc. Then again they are still counted, just not shown.

Might be wrong like:)

Every bit counts, it's just that everything counts more as you go up the PR scale.
